Job Description
An active, organized family of four near Boston, MA is seeking a playful, intuitive nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their 2-year-old son and growing family!
Location: Weston, MA (suburb of Boston)
Ages of children: 2 years old. The family also has a teenage daughter, who will not require care from the nanny.
Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or similar. Flexibility for travel and additional hours with advanced notice will be asked and appreciated!
Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 40+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $85-95+k/year dependent on experience.
Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is open to offering a monthly housing stipend for the perfect relocation candidate.
Household dynamic:
The family describes their 2-year-old as a playful little guy who loves trucks, being silly, running around, and exploring his environment. They live near a kid-friendly working farm, and their son loves visiting with the farm animals! He thrives on structure and routine and will love having a nanny who can provide this for him. Their young teen is described as social, attending school full-time where mom takes the lead on drop-offs, pick-ups, and afterschool care.
The parents are excited to be growing their family and plan to welcome another baby in the next year! Mom is a stay-at-home parent, and looks forward to teaming up with their nanny each day, while the dad will be working outside of the home. They employ full-time housekeepers and other household staff, and would love to work with a candidate who brings previous experience working with a team or in a staffed environment.
This family considers themselves life-long learners and they value hard work, honesty, and education and enjoy spending their time together being active or meditating. They typically travel over school breaks and holidays, and visit international destinations like Taiwan, Europe, and Mexico!
Ideal candidate:
This position is ideal for a candidate who brings a confident, intuitive, and laid-back demeanor to work and is excited to partner with parents to ensure the day goes smoothly!
The role will be structured to include time blocks where the candidate will be responsible for childcare and blocks for family assisting duties each day. When the family welcomes their third child, the role will shift to focus to be solely on childcare. A candidate who brings savviness with the infant through toddler years and a willingness to be a team player will be key! The family likes to keep a clean and organized home environment, so a candidate who is mindful of tidiness will be valued.
Responsibilities include family assisting duties, including errands and basic meal prep, and caring for their toddler and baby number 3! A candidate who is excited to work with young children, possesses a cheerful disposition, and is a team player will thrive in this role for years to come!
Qualifications:
3 years of professional childcare experience
Valid driver’s license
Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care for the family’s Labradoodle.
